The site drawing (DP-1) shows the size of both the water meter and the reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly as 1" with a 1-1/4" supply pipe but drawing P3 calls for a 1-1/2" supply pipe and a ¾" meter. Please coordinate the drawings and insure that the reduced pressure backflow preventer complies with Section 610.2, UPC 1994.
4. Provide a schedule of water and waste fixture units for all plumbing fixtures, including all of the kitchen equipment connected to the plumbing system, using the values shown in Tables 6-3 and 7-3, UPC 1994. 9. Correct the size of the connection to the dual fryer to correspond to the pipe capacities shown in Table 12-3, 1994 UPC.
10. A double check valve is not acceptable for protecting the water supply to a carbonator. Reference Section 603.3.12, UPC 1994 with AZ State amendments.
11. Appliances to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps may require reduced pressure principle backflow preventers. Please submit equipment sheets for determination. Reference Section 603.0, UPC 1994.
12. Provide upper terminal cleanouts on horizontal drainage pipes exceeding 5 feet in length (drain lines serving sinks and urinals require cleanouts regardless of length). Reference Section 707.4, UPC 1994.

Sheet E2
1. Delete the Service Entrance Equipment Elevation (East Coast Section), as it contains redundant information which is not in all cases even Code-compliant, such as #10 conductor protected by 60A CB.
2. Change the title "Grounding Notes" to reflect the actual content. Notes look good and should remain.
3. On the line diagram, check references to NEC 250- 79c, 250-80a, and 250-81 a-d. No such Code sections.
4. On the load calculations (labeled "Single Line Diagram"), Panel D 48,954 VA was transcribed as 43, 954. Also please note that the 65% demand factor is permissible for services as well as feeders, and that the lighting should have been taken at 125%. This being said, the load summary result is smaller than is indicated, but it is probably best to correct this for a new facility.

Sheet E2.1
1. Please correct wire size on CKTS C-6 and C-8 to #10, per Keynote 12 on Sheet E3.
2. CB on CKT H-2,4,6 should be 35A per NEC 240-6 and 422-11(e) (3), unless the 40A is indicated on the appliance. Please correct as necessary.

Sheet E3
1. Show disconnect for Refrigerator Equipment 40 per NEC 422.
2. Hot Water System Equipment 44 is protected by a 40A CB on A-21,23, but is 50 A on equipment schedule. Please coordinate and clarify.

Sheet E4
1. 1998 IECC does not make exception for decorative lighting, and the W/SF is 1.97, which exceeds 1.7. Suggest that some of the "decorative" lighting be selectively toned down such that the overall theme of the restaurant is achieved with a minimum of power consumed for decorative purposes.
2. Please provide cutsheets for lighting fixture "B". Will be looking for full cut-off lighting distribution.

Sheet E8
1. Detail 1 Keynote 3 indicates a duplex outlet, but points to a telephone outlet. Please clarify.
2. Detail 1 Keynote 2 is "Not Used", but points to a telephone outlet. Please clarify.
