IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. Per Table 250-66, 500 MCM Service Entrance Conductors need 1/0 GEC. We cannot "grandfather" Code violations, so even if the #4 is existing, it should be changed.
2. Please indicate how the feeder to the new panel is to be connected in the existing disconnect. New conductors to New Panel are not protected at their source of supply per NEC 240-21. Note that these conductors are do not appear to be tapped from a feeder as defined in the Electrical Code, and thus would not fall under the "tap rule" in (b) of 240-21.
3. Please address Available Fault current. Notes 6-9 call for series rating. However, there is no upstream device shown in the existing disconnect on the plans. If TEP can not provide AFC in a timely fashion for design, suggest a note requiring the Contractor to follow up for this verification.
