The floor plan does not provide the minimum fixture clearance as shown in Detail 1/2. Ref. ANSI 117, 604.2. 3. Specify the connection of the partition wall to the foundation and structure above. Ref. IBC 1607.13. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS General 1 .Engineering Plans S1 and S2 do not correspond to the submitted architectural building layout. Please coordinate with Sheets 2 and 4. See discrepancy in roof slope and steel frame orientation. Architectural Drawings indicate slope across transverse direction (24'), while Structural Plans have slope in longitudinal direction (30'). Furthermore the two Foundation Plans on Sheet 1 and Sheet S1 also are different. Please recheck and clarify. 2. Resolve discrepancy in openings location. Architectural Sheets 2 and 4 do not indicate openings at side walls, while openings are noted on S1. However end wall elevation on S2 does not appear to incorporate window per Architectural Plans. Please coordinate. 3. Coordinate building design criteria called out on Architectural sheets to be in consistency with Structural Plans S1 and S2. Update for example dead load of 15psf as noted on Sheets 4 & 5. Similarly update roof sheathing material on Sheet 5 where specified OSB does not match metal deck provided on Structural Drawings. 4. Recheck Lateral Calculations where response modification coefficient R=6.5 for OMRF is used. Clarify with IBC Table 1617.6, where less R value is noted. Clarify lateral resistance in both directions and if OMRF are provided along longitudinal direction, then submit design of metal panels shear walls in transverse direction. Sheet S1 1. Foundation Plan calls for 4" existing concrete slab. Please clarify if it is an existing if the building is new construction and how monolithic slab/foundation is expected to be done with the existing slab on ground. PLUMBING COMMENTS Sheet 2 1. Show the two way grade cleanout depicted in the isometric to be located outside of the building as shown on the site plan. 2. Provide the finished floor elevation for determination of the backwater valve requirement. Ref. UPC 710. 3. Show the water heater and the floor sink on the floor plan. 4. Specify cross connection control for the hose bibb. Ref. UPC 603. 5. Specify the materials for supply and waste piping. Refs. UPC 604 and 701. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet 3 1. Specify water supply and drain sizing and material for the evaporative cooler. Coordinate with the plumbing isometric drawing. 2. Specify the material for the refrigerant piping. Ref. IMC 1107.4. 3. Show the condensate provisions for the walk-in cooler. Ref. IMC 307.2. 4. Note the weather protection specifications for the exterior ductwork. Ref. IMC 603.14. 5. Please provide the manufacturer's specifications for the walk-in cooler and compressor unit. Ref. IMC 1101.2. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS Sheet 3 1. Show the disconnecting means for the compressor and evaporative cooler. Ref. NEC 440 B. 2. Specify ground fault circuit interrupter protection for the outdoor receptacles. Ref. NEC 410-57. 3. Provide revised electrical load calculations. 4. Demonstrate compliance with outdoor lighting code for exterior fixtures. ENERGY COMMENTS General 1. Provide the interior lighting power analysis. Ref.
