| 11/14/2003 | STANTEC | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q There are no architectural comments to be addressed. STRUCTURAL: q The mechanical units for this project are new. How do they compare to what existed on the roof previously as far as weight and location? At 1,832 lbs each for the 4 larger units and 1,000 lbs for the 1 small unit, is the roof capable of supporting this additional weight at these locations? Please clarify. MECHANICAL: q The lockup room appears to function as a "storage room" and as such is considered as a habitable room requiring mechanical ventilation [2000 IMC, Chapter 4]. Please provide. PLUMBING: q Where do the waste lines indicated on Sheet P2 exit the building? Please clarify. There is a symbol which indicates to connect the new waste line to the existing waste line, however this connection is not noted, the new and existing waste lines are not noted as new and existing, and the system as drawn does not show the waste line exiting the building (at the very least make an assumption). q There is a note on the waste and vent riser diagram on Sheet P2 that indicates to "connect to existing vent through roof if available". What happens if the vent through roof "is not available"? Please clarify that venting shall be provided. q On Sheet M1, provide the main gas pipe size between RTU 3 and RTU4. ELECTRICAL: q The panels as presented have different fault current ratings. Provide fault current calculations (either on the plans or a separate 8½ x 11 document). -End of Review- |
