12/15/2003 STANTEC 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied SCOPE OF REVIEW:

The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL:

q The first submittal we received consisted of only one set. All revised drawings have been submitted as two sets. We are therefore missing the following sheets in order to be able to submit two complete sets to the City: M2.0, E1.0, E1.0 Alt., and E2.0 Alt.

ARCHITECTURAL:

q There are no architectural comments to be addressed.

STRUCTURAL:

q There are no structural comments to be addressed.

MECHANICAL:

q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed.

PLUMBING:

q Sheet P-1 has been revised. The previous Sheet P-1 indicated a backwater valve on the sewer line. Now the backwater valve has been removed. Which is correct? Please provide sewer rim elevations so they can be compared tot eh finished floor elevation shown on Sheet A1 to clarify whether a backwater valve is required [1994 UPC Sec. 710].

q A new Sheet P1 (which differs from P-1) has been added to the plumbing set. It shows the sewer going into the building as a new sewer, versus the information on Sheet P-1 that shows this sewer as existing. Which is it? Please clarify.

ELECTRICAL:

q A fault current calculation has been provided on Sheet E1.0 (and the Alt. E1.0 as well). However, fault rating has not been indicated for any of the equipment. Is this to be a series rated system? What is to be the rating of the panels? Please clarify. This previous comment has been partially addressed. A revised Sheet E1.0 has been submitted and has addressed the issue, however a revised Sheet Alt. E1.0 has not been submitted. Is the Alternate to remain a part of the permit? If it is then the Alternate E1.0 sheet also needs to be revised.
