As discussed with Mr. Mountjoy and Mr. Flynn, the following will be incorporated into the plans: 1. Details reflecting penetration of the 2 hour assembly to reference fire penetrations criteria specified within plans. 2. Remove statement in regards to having less than 15 employees exempts them from providing male/ female restrooms. 04/20/2004 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Approved | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. Sheet E-1 1. In Keynotes 6, 7, 9 & 10, specify that the combination starter shall have overload protection, sized per manufacturer's recommendations. Having run a few calculations, it appears that the circuit breakers in Panels HP and LP are oversized to provide overload protection for these motor loads. They are sized properly for Ground Fault and Short Circuit protection only. Sheet E-3 1. Feeder on the secondary to 15 KVA X'FMR, #10 GND is undersized. Smallest size per Table 250-66 is #8. Please note that, per Footnote 1 of Table 250-66, this Table applies to derived conductors of separately derived ac systems. Since there is no overcurrent protective device ahead of the transformer secondary conduit, Table 250-122 can not be used in this application. 2. Feeder on the secondary to 300 KVA X'FMR, 2/0 GND is undersized. Should be 3/0 per Table 250-66. 3. Feeder on the secondary to 225 KVA X'FMR, 1/0 GND is undersized. Should be 2/0 per Table 250-66. Sheet E9 1. Provide overload protection for Air Compressor on Building #2 Power Plan, and all such equipment on this sheet. This may clear up after the clarification required in Comment #1 above is made. Same for the Dryer. Sheet E-16 1. Provide calculations for both poles and foundations for any pole exceeding 20' in height. Needs approval from Martin Haeberle. 2. According to the Lighting Ordinance, Table 5, as applicable to this Area, any metal halide lighting source over 50W shall have full cutoff lighting distribution. As 175 W uplights, Fixtures K do not comply. |
