10/28/2003 | Loren Makus | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | DATE: October 31, 2003 TO: Sam Camacho and Joe O'Neil, City of Tucson SUBJECT: Fred Enke Golf Maintenance Facility, Site Plan and Grading Plan Review REVIEWER: Loren Makus ACTIVITY NUMBERS: T03CM04935 and T03BU02663 SUMMARY: The Site Plan and Grading Plan were reviewed by Development Services Department Engineering Division. The Site Plan, Grading Plan and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) were not approved at this time. Site and Grading Plan comments: 1. Revise the calculations for the required retention volume. The runoff coefficients for the five-year rainfall depth must be used. (See Table 4.3, Page 4.7 in the Manual for Drainage Design and Floodplain Management). Revise the Site Plan and Grading Plan to be consistent with the revised retention requirements. 2. Prepare a SWPPP that meets the minimum requirements of the AzPDES General Permit. Use the checklist available on the ADEQ web site to ensure that all required elements are included. Include a copy of the completed checklist with the resubmittal. The checklist is available at www.adeq.state.az.us/environ/water/permits/stormwater.html#const. Revise the Site Plan, Grading Plan and the SWPPP to address all of these comments and resubmit two copies of the grading plan and three copies of the SWPPP. If you would like to meet with me to discuss any of these comments please call me at (520) 791-5550 ext. 1161. Loren Makus Senior Engineering Associate Engineering Division Development Services |

On Single Line Diagram, the 1/0 feeder, with an ampacity of 150A, is not protected by the 200 AF. 3. On the same feeder as referred to in Comment #2 above, please note that the City does not accept the use of "Let Through" Current as a method to attenuate fault current for other than motor circuits. However, a quick calculation reveals that if the 27,800 amps is available at the secondary terminals of the TEP transformer, the system elements depicted in the line diagram are not under-rated. Please provide fault current available at Panel P. 4. Provide for a seal where the conduit exits the dispenser. See NEC 514-7 (a). 5. Call for listed equipment to serve as the means to remove all external voltage sources, including feedback, during maintenance and service of dispensing equipment, or provide an Engineer's certified design for such a scheme, including all power, control, relays, contacts, etc. 6. Provide a seal at the panelboard. See commentary to NEC 514-7 in the Handbook. |
