11/10/2003 | STANTEC | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q Sheet A-1 under "Applicable Codes" references the 1997 UFC (Uniform Fire Code). The correct reference should be to the 2000 IFC (International Fire Code). Please correct. ARCHITECTURAL: q There are no architectural comments to be addressed. STRUCTURAL: q The partial foundation plan on Sheet S-1, which is intended to show an optional score pattern contains some incorrect footing information (the F-5 footings should be F-9's). Please coordinate. q Page 04 of the shop drawings notes that additional field purlins are to be located for mechanical units that weigh 425 lbs. However Sheet M-1 of the mechanical drawings indicates that the mechanical units weigh between 500 and 550 lbs. each. Please coordinate. MECHANICAL: q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed. PLUMBING: q The two-way cleanout shown on Sheet P-2 in the riser diagram is indicated incorrectly. The sweeps point towards one another instead of away from one another (there is no way to clear a block between the two cleanouts). q Permanent ladder access is required for any water heater mounted on a platform at 8'-0" or higher above the finish floor [1994 UPC Sec. 511.2]. The plumbing drawings reference Detail 14 on Sheet A-10, which indicates that the platform for the water heater is to be at 8'-0" above the finished floor. ELECTRICAL: q The one-line diagram on Sheet E-3 indicates on Panel "A" 28.13 KVA. However there was an adjustment made on the panel schedule that makes this value now 29.33 KVA. Please coordinate. -End of Review- |
