The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL:

q There are no general comments to be addressed.

ARCHITECTURAL:

q The overhangs at the north and south ends of the new carport also need to be of 1-hour construction [2000 IRC Sec. R302.1]. Specifically the code requires 1-hour construction at the underside of the overhang within the 3'-0" fire separation distance.

STRUCTURAL:

q Detail 7 on Sheet A-2 implies that there is a bar of reinforcing running continuous in the footing but no size is provided. Please clarify.

PLUMBING:

q To where is the gas meter being relocated? The floor plan on Sheet A2 indicates that it is to be moved, however it does not show the new location.

ELECTRICAL:

q Provide a load calculation which includes the additional load on the exiting 200 amp panel.
