10/14/2003 | Linda Buczynski | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. Sheet E3/E4 1. Please provide calculations substantiating the choice of the 45' Class 4 Pole. 2. Please demonstrate that proper vertical and horizontal clearances are being maintained from any structures. This of course would be most critical at mid-span with the sag in the conductors and needs a clear depiction of how the mobile homes are actually situated on their respective lots. Take into consideration maximum operating temperatures, as appropriate. 3. Please show how the pole spacings were arrived at. 4. Please demonstrate that the breaking strength of the guy specified in 16301 2.11 is correct. 5. Regarding Key Note 3 on E4, PSS is not depicted on the single line diagram. Please clarify. 6. Regarding Key Note 2 on E4, there is no depiction of the line from EP4 to EP5 on the single line diagram. Please clarify. 7. Key Notes 4 and 7 on E4 point to the line but refer to a ground mounted switching station and a pole mounted cutout switch, respectively. Please clarify. 8. Key Note 5 on E4 consists of the #2 primary extension, but it points to a piece of equipment. It appears that the primary extension itself is properly covered by Key Note 8. 9. In the list of Symbols on E4, there is one for the PSS, but this symbol does not show on the site plan. 10. In Key Notes 2 and 5 Sheet E3, and Key Note 5 on Sheet E4, specify number of conductors. 11. On Sheet E3, at P4 appears to need two guy wires, but the pictorial shows another pole, the riser, and the grounding symbol. 12. On Sheet E3, Notes 8 and 11, clarify the meaning of "3/C". If it's to be 3" conduit, it should read as such. Sheet E5 1. Please provide a cut sheet for the light and pole shown on Detail D. Sheet E6 1. Riser Pole Detail D please indicate elevation of fused cutout. 2. On Detail D, there is a #3 on the Schedule of Pole Equipment, but not on the Detail itself. Please clarify. 3. On Detail D, there is a #2 on the Schedule of Pole Equipment, but not on the Detail itself. This is the Riser, and on the Detail, #12 appears to point to the Riser. Please clarify. 4. On Detail D, #6 on the Front View is supposed to indicate the Fused cut out, but it appears to point to the Lightening Arrestor. If coordinated with the Side View, the Cut Out appears to be a different piece of equipment, and the Side View this piece of equipment does appear to be the Cut Out. Please clarify. 5. Note 14 on Detail D shows the Neutral Termination Crimp, but please show how the neutral conductor is to be carried into the riser and ultimately to the pad mounted transformer such that the circuit may be completed. 6. Show how the neutral comes to the pole on Detail D. 7. It does not appear that the crossarm is necessary on Detail D. 8. Specify height of top of Riser on Detail D. 9. On Detail D, Side View, the Cut Out is shown on the same side of the pole as the Riser. If the intent was that the Cut Out shall open on the opposite side of the pole from that of the riser, similar to that in TEP's Distribution Construction Standard EC-1410 Page 2, please specify this. 10. On Detail B, specify depth of setting of anchor, and size of anchor in expanded position. Sheet E7 1. Please indicate why the existing 100 amp fuses need to be replaced by 140 AFs at the equipment depicted in the 2400 Volt Distribution Single Line Diagram, considering that no work is to be performed on this portion of the system. 2. Demonstrate that taking power from Phase C only will not unbalance the system. 3. Show how the neutral was derived from the 2400 volt system. 4. In Transformer Load Calculation, please correct the wording "PER NEC 550-23" to "PER NEC 550-22". Specifications 16301 1. In Section 2.4, please fill in the blanks after the word "Class ________". 2. In Section 2.18, the wording in the first sentence: "…symmetrical interrupting current 7.8 15 kV ungrounded…" is confusing. Please clarify. The last sentence in this Section makes sense. 3. In Section 2.18, clarify whether the intent is to use Type K (fast) fuse links, or Type T (slow) links, and why. 4. Section 3.31 refers to "…the following visual and mechanical inspections and electrical tests…" There are no such inspections and tests following in this document. Specifications 16302 1. Provide specifications for the substation, including the switches and circuit breakers. 2. If the transformer enclosure is not constructed per NEC 110-31 ( c), a barrier will have to be provided per 110-31. |
