This letter reflects comments to be addressed with a written response to each of the noted items indicating the action taken. In order to facilitate a shorter back-check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes that have been made. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q General Note #4 on Sheet 1 indicates that the paint booth is to have a fire sprinkler system per UBC Standards 9-1 and 9-3. This is incorrect (outdated reference). A sprinkler system is required by the 2000 IFC Sec. 1504.6 and is to meet the requirements of the 2000 IFC Chapter 9 and NFPA 13-96. q Provide a note on the plans that the manufacturer's shop drawings and data the paint booth shall be submitted as a deferred submittal for review and approval by the building department prior to fabrication. The Architect of Record shall review and "shop drawing" stamp approval the shop drawings. The shop drawings should match the installation. STRUCTURAL: q Provide a note on the plans that the manufacturer's calculations and data for pre-engineered metal building shall be submitted as a deferred submittal for review and approval by the building department prior to fabrication. Drawings and calculations must be signed, dated and wet-sealed by an engineer who is registered in Arizona. Also, the Architect of Record shall review and "shop drawing" stamp approval the shop drawings and calculations. MECHANICAL: q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q Are circuits 1, 3, and 5 on existing Panel "B" for this paint booth? Is this breaker existing?
