This letter reflects comments to be addressed with a written response to each of the noted items indicating the action taken. In order to facilitate a shorter back-check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes that have been made. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Sections 6 and 7 on Sheet A8 indicate that the trusses "mansard framing" is to remain, however the West Point Engineering calculations submitted for modification of the existing trusses indicates that this framing is to be removed. Please clarify. STRUCTURAL: q The upper calculation on Page 15 of the calculations indicates a 10x4x1/4 tube steel section, however the plans indicate a 10x4x3/16 tube steel section (reference Detail 234 on Sheet S5.4, horizontal members between Grids 10 and 11 at the roofline. Please correct. q Detail 320 on Sheet S5.9 indicates that the trusses "mansard framing" is to remain, however the West Point Engineering calculations for modification of the existing trusses indicates that this framing is to be removed. Please clarify. If this framing is to remain then the West Point Engineering calculations need to be revised. Also, the plans make no mention of any required truss modifications. They should at the very least make reference the West Point Engineering calculations so that this work is not overlooked. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed.
