10/20/2003 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Revise the schedule of water and waste fixture units for all plumbing fixtures and kitchen equipment using the values shown in Tables 6-3, 7-3, and A-3, UPC 1994. For kitchen equipment not listed in Tables 6-3 or A-3, use the size of their water connections (see sheet A6.01Equipment list for connection sizes) and the values shown at the bottom of Table 6-3 to determine their fixture units. Include the total number of each fixture being installed. Revise pipe sizes as required. Reference Section 610.1, UPC 1994.
2. Show that the existing 1-1/2" water line is not overloaded with the addition of the new loads. Using the kitchen equipment plan and the kitchen equipment schedule, the total number of water fixture units is 84, not 63 fixture units. If the shell package allotted only 40 fixture units for the space this project will be occupying, how does this effect the remainder of the building? Note: the shell package used 6.0 PSI/100 FT for sizing the water pipes. Reference Section 302.3, Uniform Administrative Code 1997.
3. Provide cleanout for directly connected compartments of 3-compartment kitchen sink. Reference Section 707.4, UPC 1994.
4. Coordinate water and waste requirements of kitchen equipment with plumbing design and show connections on plans. Equipment plan (sheet a6.01) shows two prep sinks (NN) with indirect wastes but only three hand sinks. Reference Section 302.3, Uniform Administrative Code 1997.
10/20/2003 Robert Sherry MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Correct outside air requirement shown on sheet M2.1 (21,000 - 18720 = 2280 CFM, not 2085 CFM). Revise outside air quantities as required to provide pressure equalization. Reference Section 508.1, IMC 2000.
2. Relocate smoke detector to the return air system of HP-3. Reference Section 606.1, IMC.
