This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: Sheet A2.1 1. Guardrail construction at elevated surfaces and stairs requires special construction and edge protection. Review and clarify proposed guardrail. Reference IBC Sections 1003.2.12 and 1003.3.4.8. 2. Handrail shall have not less than 1.5 inches clearance. Provide clearance dimension. Reference IBC Section 1003.3.3.11.6. Sheet A4.0 1. Coordinate hardware schedule numbers with itemization list. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1. 2. EIFS systems without a weather resistive barrier require special inspection. Review and clarify EIFS construction, and coordinate all drawings and details. Reference IBC Sections 1704.12 and 1404.2. 3. Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key, special knowledge, or effort. The main entrance may be provided with a cylinder lock provided that an applicable designated sign is provided: "This Door To Remain Unlocked When Building Is Occupied." Clarify compliance for egress at all exit doors. Reference IBC Section 1003.3.1.8. 4. Designate each pane, which is required to be safety-glazed. Reference IBC Section 2406. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: Sheet S0.1 1. Special Inspections are called-out for field welding. Provide the City of Tucson required documentation. Reference IBC Section 1704. PLUMBING COMMENTS: The plumbing portion was not a part of this review. MECHANICAL COMMENTS: The mechanical portion was not a part of this review.
