All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Will there be accessible clearance for the sidewalk (i.e. 36") at the landings at the bottom of the stairs that front onto the parking area (Buildings "A" and "B") [ANSI A117.1-1998 Sec. 403.5]? Should the sidewalk width not be increased at these landing locations similar to the northern stairs? STRUCTURAL: q The design loads indicated on Sheet A1.1, along with the wind and seismic information is incorrect. This information as presented is from the 1994 UBC and not the 2000 IBC. Please correct. This information is also incorrect within the structural calculations provided. q What are the "L" shaped figures shown on the foundation and framing plans for Building "A" along the balcony edge? Are they walls? Are they new or existing? How do the beams attach to these "walls"? If these "walls" are new then how do they attach to the existing footings (Keyed Note #11)? Please clarify. q Please clarify the not on the bottom of Detail 4 on Sheet A1.1. The note references Simpson #4's. What are these? Part of the nomenclature appears to be missing. -End of Review- |
