1. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan.

1. Exit doors shall be operable from the inside without the use of a key, special knowledge, or effort. In Group B, key-locking hardware may be used on the main exit if a sign is posted at door stating, "This door to remain unlocked when the building is occupied." Reference IBC Section 1003.3.1.8.

4. Exits shall not pass through kitchens, storerooms, and rooms used for similar purposes. Please clarify the directional arrows on the exit sign at the break room. Reference IBC Section 1003.3.1.8.

5. When exit doors are used in pairs and approved automatic flush bolts are used, the door leaf with the automatic flush bolts shall have no doorknob or surface-mounted hardware. The unlatching of any leaf shall be done in one operation. Reference IBC Section 1003.3.1.8 #3.


STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:

Sheet S0.1

1. Special inspection pursuant to UBC Section 1701 is required as identified on the plans. The special inspector shall be approved by the Building Official prior to start of work. Please provide the completed Special Inspection Certificate. Reference IBC Chapter 17.

1. There appears to be no structural details for the gravity support and lateral bracing of the suspended ceiling framing. Please clarify. Reference 2000 IBC Section 106.1.1.


PLUMBING COMMENTS:

1. Design of rainwater piping shall be in accordance with UPC Appendix D, using a minimum rainfall intensity of three inches (101.6 mm) per hour. Please provide rainfall and roof drain calculations pursuant to UPC Appendix D.

1. Grab bars, tub and shower seats, and their backing and attachment shall be designed for 250-pound (1112N) point load as specified in IBC Section 1607.7.2. Provide construction details.

2. Provide details and dimensions for the accessible shower to include inside dimensions of the unit, the curb, and the seat controls, including the handheld showerhead. Reference ADAAG Section 4.26.

Provide disabled accessible water fountain(s). Provide complete details and dimensions on the plans. Such fountain(s) shall comply with ADAAG Section 4.15.
