1. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan.

2. Please add the 1998 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) to the list of design codes on the cover sheet. All of the listed codes have local amendments, except the 1994 UPC is with State Amendments.

3. Apparently Plumbing Sheet P2 is missing from the plans since Sheet P2 is referenced on the other two plumbing sheets. Please coordinate, and include on the Sheet Index. Reference UPC Section 103.2.3.


ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS:

Sheet T

1. Please correct the Project Information and all appropriate sheets in the plans. Suite 109 is shown twice, once in Shops 1 and once in Minor 1. Please coordinate, and renumber the suites in Minors 1 and 2; see Sheets A1A and A1B. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

2. Please correct the calculated occupant loads. Drop all fractions since there is no such thing as a fraction of an occupant. Reference IBC Sections 106.1.1 and 1003.2.2.

3. The plans show the buildings are equipped with fire sprinklers throughout. Correct the Project Information Table accordingly. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheets A1A and A1B

1. See Architectural Comment #1 on Sheet T, and resolve the double use of Suite 109.


Sheet A1B

1. Keyed Notes 25 and 30 symbols at the rear door and checkout stand appear to be used where 24 and 40 appear to be more appropriate. Please coordinate, and resolve. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

2. Keyed Note 29 location is missing on the floor plan. Please clarify what "mounting board" this refers to since Symbol 23 may be in place of #29 at Room 104. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

3. A Keyed Note 48 is shown in Room 102; however, the legend stops at #44. Please coordinate, and correct. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

4. Keyed Note 24 is indicated incorrectly at the water closet in each toilet room. Please correct. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A2B

1. At the left vacant store space, the exit light Keyed Note 1 is in the wrong location. Please coordinate, and revise sheet as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

2. Keyed Notes 5 and 19 are on the legend, but missing from the Ceiling Plan. Please coordinate, and revise sheet as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A3B

1. The Downspout Calculations and Ventilation Requirements Tables are repeats from A3A for Shops 1. Since the building areas are not the same, the values must be different. Please coordinate, and revise sheet as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

2. The Downspout Calculations number the downspouts 1 and 2, while the Roof Plan includes numbers 3 and 4. Please coordinate, and revise sheet as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheets A4A and A4B

1. Please locate Keyed Note 18 on the building to identify where the building's address shall be located for Shops 1, in accordance with the Pima County Addressing Requirements. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A7

1. At Wall Section B, a Keyed Note 35 is shown where #33 should be. Please correct. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A8

1. At Shops 1, Wall Section E, a Keyed Note 46 is shown; however, the legend stops at #45. Please correct, and revise plans as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A9

1. At Canopy Section A for Minor 1, Keyed Note 50 appears to be incorrect. Please coordinate, and revise plans as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:

Sheet S3A

1. A masonry lintel number ML4 is shown on the plans for an 18' span, while the structural engineer's calculations are for a maximum span of 12' for ML4. Please provide calculations for the 18' span masonry lintels. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet S4

1. At Detail 12, the masonry lintel table is missing ML5 shown on the table on Sheet S3A. Please coordinate, and revise sheet as needed. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.


PLUMBING COMMENTS:

1. Sheet P2, as referenced on Sheets P1A and P1B, is missing from the Plans and Sheet Index on the cover sheet. Reference UPC Section 103.2.3.

2. Correct the Fire Protection Design Criteria Item 1 on Sheet P1A. The governing municipality is the City of Tucson, not Scottsdale. Please correct. Reference UPC Section 103.2.3.

3. Provide complete plumbing plans, including isometrics DWV diagrams, showing compliance with the 1994 UPC with State Amendments. Reference 1994 UPC and the State Amendments.

4. On Sheet P1B, please clarify whether the piping to the HVAC units is for water or gas. Show the gas piping sizes and gas demand for the furnace portion of the RTU's, and the Unit Heater with the piping branch lengths, per 1994 UPC. Reference UPC Section 1217.


MECHANICAL COMMENTS:

Sheet M4A

1. Please clarify whether the Heat Pump/AC unit sizes on this sheet for 10, 11, 12, and 13 are optional sizes from those on Sheet M3A. Please coordinate and clarify the plans. Reference IMC Section 106.3.1.

Sheet M5A

1. General Note 8 is in conflict with General Note 1 on Sheets M2A and M2B, which state that the electrician shall install the smoke detectors. Please coordinate, and revise plans as needed. Reference IMC Section 106.3.1.

2. The AC Unit Schedule shows the heating is fueled by gas. However, the maximum input demand in BTU/H or CFH and output rating are not shown. Please provide the information, and coordinate the plumbing drawings for the gas piping plan. Reference IMC Section 106.3.1 and UPC Section 1217.

3. Provide Outdoor Ventilation Air calculations to show compliance with 2000 IMC Section 403.3 and Table 403.3. Note the occupant loads are calculated differently for this purpose from the exiting occupant load method. Reference 2000 IMC Section 403.3 and Table 403.3.


ELECTRICAL COMMENTS:

Sheets E1A, E1B, and E4A

1. All exterior light fixtures shall comply with the Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code. Full cut-off fixtures are required, except for the decorative light fixtures with a maximum of 50 watts, incandescent light bulbs. Reference Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code.

Sheets E1B

1. At Minor 1 and 2 canopies, a light fixture "Q" is shown; however, there is no fixture "Q" shown on the Light Fixture Schedule on Sheet E4A. Please coordinate, and resolve. Reference NEC Article 90-7.

Sheets E2A

1. Please clarify Keyed Note 22. Since these are new building shells, how can the irrigation system be "existing?" Reference NEC Article 90-7.


ENERGY CODE COMMENTS:

1. The building envelope and calculations have reviewed and approved.

2. The mechanical portion of the calculations have been reviewed and approved.

3. Provide interior and exterior lighting energy calculations to show compliance with 1998 IECC Section 705.


ACCESSIBILITY COMMENTS:

1. The accessibility to and throughout the two buildings has been reviewed and approved.
