Reference IBC 1704 and address excavations, masonry and field welding. 2. Update call out references on Sheet E-08 for consistency with details provided on Sheet E-09. 3. Clarify responsibility for lateral and gravity design of two platforms between Lines 1 and 1a. Steel manufacturer's calculations do not appear to account for such loads. See Framing Plan shown on Sheet 4 or Steel Manufacturer Sheet E-08 and complete structural design, brace specification and detailing. 4. Reference Details 8, 9, 10, and 11 on Sheet 6 and clarify attachment of masonry blocks to steel frames at decorative walls. Also address whether these walls are connected to the building structure. 5. Recheck seismic parameters and seismic base shear calculations prepared by Jesus Florez, which appear to be in conflict with Steel Manufacturer Design Data. Verify that Soil Site Class "C" can be used if Soils Report for the proposed site is provided. Otherwise Soil Site Class "D" shall be used per IBC 1615.1.1, last paragraph. Ref. IBC 1615 and update. 6. Coordinate with Final Steel Frame Calculations and provide foundation design for steel frame columns with footings which are different from previous submittal package. The Engineer of Record shall provide foundation design due to compression, shear and uplift and anchor bolt connection at foundation base plate. Please complete. Clarify missing footing details and pedestals below steel columns. 7. Similarly complete footing specification at interior columns along Line 1. |
