PLAN REVIEW FOR THE ABOVE REFERENCED STRUCTURE HAS BEEN COMPLETED. THIS LETTER REFLECTS COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED. IN ORDER TO FACILITATE A SHORTER BACK CHECK TIME, WE REQUEST THAT YOU PLEASE PROVIDE REVISED PLANS AND CALCULATIONS, HIGHLIGHTING ANY CHANGES, ALONG WITH A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO EACH OF THE NOTED ITEMS INDICATING ACTION TAKEN.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. ALL CORRECTIONS AND REVISIONS SHALL BE MADE ON THE ORIGINAL TRACINGS AND TWO NEW SETS OF PRINTS OR (1) SEPIA & (1) BLUE LINE SHALL BE RETURNED ALONG WITH ALL REDLINE PRINTS.

2. PEN OR PENCIL CORRECTIONS ON FINAL PRINTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. TO AVOID DELAYS ENSURE ALL CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN MADE, ARE COMPLETE AND HAVE BEEN COORDINATED ON ALL APPLICABLE DETAILS AND NOTES.

SITE PLAN:

1. INDICATE THE LOCATION OF GAS, WATER, ELECTRIC AND SEWER OR SEPTIC LINE ON THE PROPERTY, AND
WHERE THEY ENTER THE BUILDING.

FOUNDATION PLANS:

1. NOTE ON THE DRAWINGS THE ALLOWABLE SOIL BEARING PRESSURE USED IN THE DESIGN OF THE FOOTINGS,
OR STATE THAT THE ASSUMED VALUE OF 1500 PSF IS BEING USED, PER TABLE R401.4.1, A SOILS REPORT IS
NOT REQUIRED. IT IS UP TO THE DESIGNER/HOMEBUILDER TO BE AWARE OF THE SOIL AND CONDITIONS OF
THE SITE. IF SOIL TESTING HAS BEEN DONE, A COPY OF THE SOILS REPORT SHALL BE SUBMITTED WITH THE
CONSTRUCTION PLANS, AND THE FOUNDATION DESIGN SHALL REFLECT THE SOILS REPORTS
RECOMMENDATIONS.

2. FOOTING WIDTHS FOR ONE-STORY, PER TABLE R403.1:

FLOOR PLANS:

1. INDICATE ON PLANS ALL EXISTING ROOMS ADJACENT TO NEW ADDITION.

2. IF WINDOW BEING RELOCATED IN EXISTING STRUCTURE IS IN A BEDROOM IT MAY OR MAY NOT MEET INGRESS/EGRESS REQUIREMENTS. PROVIDE TYPE OF WINDOW, CASEMENT, SLIDER, SINGLE HUNG, ETC.

3. NOTE THAT BATHTUB AND SHOWER ENCLOSURES SHALL BE FINISHED PER p2710 WITH CERAMIC TILE, OR A
LISTED ENCLOSURE, TO A HEIGHT OF 72" ABOVE THE DRAIN PER R702.4 AND R307.2

STRUCTURAL PLANS:

1. INDICATE SIZE OF LINTEL FOR RELOCATED WINDOW IN EXISTING STRUCTURE.

2. INDICATE FIRE BLOCKING AT CEILING AND FRAME WALL NEXT TO EXISTING STRUCTURE.

SECTIONS - DETAILS - MISC. NOTES:

1. WOOD SILL PLATES SHALL BE FOUNDATION GRADE REDWOOD OR PRESSURE-TREATED WOOD PER R324.

2. NOTE AND SPECIFY THE SIZE, SPACING AND LENGTH OF ANCHOR BOLTS FOR SILL PLATES

PLUMBING PLANS:

2. INDICATE SIZE OF WATER LINE FROM METER TO ADDITION.

3. CLEAN OUT REQUIRED AT WASHER. 2 WAY CLEANOUT REQUIRED ON MAIN WASTE LINE.

4. NOTE ON PLAN COMPLIANCE WITH WATER CONSERVATION; WATER CLOSETS 1.6 GALLONS PER FLUSH, SINKS
AND SHOWERHEADS 3 GALLONS PER MINUTE.

5. PROVIDE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE RELIEF VALVE AT WATER HEATER.

6. NOTE ON PLANS THAT SHOWER AND TUB / SHOWER COMBINATIONS THAT HAVE INDIVIDUAL CONTROL
VALVES SHALL BE OF THE PRESSURE BALANCE OR THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVE TYPE.

7. THE CITY OF TUCSON HAS NOT ADOPTED THE PLUMBING SECTION OF THE IRC 2OOO. THE CURRENT CODE BEING USED IS THE 1994 UPC WITH THE STATE AMENDMENTS. ALL PLANS MUST REFERENCE TO THIS CODE.

8. GAS WATER HEATER AND GAS WALL HEATER NOT ALLOWED IN BATHROOM.

MECHANICAL PLANS:

1. NOTE ON PLANS: MECHANICAL SHALL COMPLY WITH CHAPTERS 12 -16 AND18- 24 2000 IRC.

2. GAS APPLIANCES SHALL COMPLY WITH 1994 UPC WITH STATE AMENDMENTS FOR COMBUSTION AIR REQUIREMENTS. DETAIL HOW.

ELECTRICAL PLANS:

1. BATHROOM LAV. RECEPT. MUST BE ON A 20 AMP CIRCUIT.

2. SUBMIT ELECTRICAL RISER DIAGRAM. NOTE THE GROUNDING AND BONDING METHOD.

MODEL ENERGY CODE:

1. PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS PER THE 1998 IECC, OR COMPLY WITH IRC CHAPTER 11.

2. CALL OUT ON THE PLANS THE "R" VALUES OF INSULATION, AS WELL AS THE "U" VALUES OF THE WINDOWS
AND DOORS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS PROVIDED.
