Please note that the gate to be provided in the patio wall (detail 5/A3) must comply with IBC 1003.3.1.8. Show this gate in the door schedule and note accordingly with respect to hardware. 2. Please provide a note that a bottled water dispenser at an accessible location will be provided and be on site at the time of final inspection in lieu of literal compliance with respect to the drinking fountain required by IBC Table 2902.1. Sheet A-6 1. Please dimension the common use breakroom counter height shown at 8/A6 to be a maximum height of 34" for compliance with ANSI A117.1.903. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS Sheet S-1 1. In accordance with IBC 1704 and the construction document specifications, special inspections are required for soils, concrete, structural masonry and epoxy and expansion anchors. This is an advisory comment only and no response from the structural engineer is required. Sheet S-4 1. Additional steel reinforcement, as specified in keynote 2, appears to be required at the reentrant corner adjacent to the shearwall SW1 at the northwest corner of the foundation. Please keynote for clarification. 2. Keynote 5, which appears to be applicable to detail 107/S6, specifies 4- #4 steel reinforcement top and bottom. The detail referenced calls out 3- #4 bars top and bottom. Please coordinate and clarify. Similarly, footing mark F6 (referenced as detail 108/S6), specifies 2- #4 reinforcement in the footing schedule but is detailed in 108/S6 with 1- #4 top and bottom. Please clarify by providing the design for footing F6 which was not included in the structural calculations. Sheet S-5 1. The design calculations shown on Sheet 5 for B7 (shown as B4 in the schedule) specify a 5 1/8 x 16 1/2 GLB. The output provided on Sheet 12 is for a 5 1/8 x 19 1/2 GLB. Please provide data for the 5 1/8 x 16 1/2 member. 2. The joist schedule notes indicate that the hangars will be as specified by the joist manufacturer. Please coordinate the hangar specifications with the joist manufacturer in conjunction with the deferred submittal for the plywood web joists. No response to this comment is required at this time. PLUMBING COMMENTS Sheet P-2 1. Where the plumbing plan references soil and vent riser 3/P2 a 4" wall cleanout is shown. The isometric shows a 2" cleanout at 24" AFF. Please revise to 4". Ref. UPC Table 7-6. Sheet P-3 1. Please show the 4" GCO on vent and soil riser 1/P3. Fixture P1, a water closet, has been shown with a 1 ½" vent. This fixture will require a 2" vent. Ref. UPC Table 7-5. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet M-1 1. Please revise mechanical general note 8 for smoke detection systems control to specify that smoke detectors are to be installed in return air systems with a design capacity greater than 2000 cfm upstream of filters, exhaust air or outdoor air connections. Ref. IMC 606. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS Sheet E-2 1. Please denote rooftop receptacle as circuit B-27 shown as WP, GFI. 2. Coordinate smoke detection systems control with mechanical comment 1. 3.
