| 07/03/2003 | STANTEC | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | GENERAL COMMENTS: 1. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. 2. On the site plan on Sheet A1 and Floor Plan Sheet A3, the total parking provided of 354 requires 8 accessible parking spaces per 2000 IBC, Table 1106.1. Of the 8 required accessible spaces, one shall be van accessible in accordance with IBC Sec 1106.4 and ANSI-117.1 (1998) Sec 502.3.1 and Figure 502.3. A minimum 96" wide space with a minimum 96" wide adjacent access aisle is required for the van accessible space. Please resolve with the new H.C. spaces. ARCHITECTUAL COMMENTS: Sheet A2: 1. The occupant load as calculated in accordance with IBC Chapter 10 would yield an occupant load of 762. However, the occupant load for the Charter School, based upon their charter of 420 students after year one, yields a much smaller required exit width. The provided clear exit width is 320 inches, which exceeds the required width of 762 X .015=114.3 inches. Please add a note on the plans to rationalize the smaller posted occupant load. Sheets A3 and A8: 1. The exterior exit doors 100A, 100B, 112A, 122A, and 134A and Vestibule door 103A and 103B shall be equipped with panic hardware in accordance with 2000 IBC Sec 1003.3.1.9, second paragraph. Please clarify on Door Schedule. 2. The Toilet Room Finish Schedule for the Women's Toilet Room does not indicate the 4'0" ceramic tile wainscot on the east wall, while the Men's Toilet does so indicate. Please explain or resolve. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: 1. Provide structural plan and details from the Structural Engineer's calculations to show the installation of the new beams to support the new HP11's weight. PLUMBING COMMENTS: 1. The plumbing plans have been reviewed and approved. MECHANICAL COMMENTS: 1. See the Structural Comment and provide a clear plan and details to show the contractor and inspectors how the weight of HP11 is to be supported. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS: 1. The electrical plans have been reviewed and approved. ENERGY CODE COMMENTS: 1. The plans have been reviewed and approved. ACCESIBILITY COMMENTS: 1. The accessibility to and throughout the new T. I. have been reviewed and approved. |
