07/11/2003 STANTEC 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL:

q Sheets M1, M2, P1, and P2 are not signed, sealed, and dated by the registrant. All engineers and architects involved in the design of the structure are to seal the related sheets of plans, details, and calculations [Arizona State Board of Technical Registration Rule R4-30-304].

ARCHITECTURAL:

q Sheet A2, keyed note #6, indicates to provide a concrete slab infill around the fire riser pipe. Please also note on the plans that a compressible material needs to be wrapped around the pipe so that the pipe is isolated from the slab [1994 UPC Sec. 313.2].

STRUCTURAL:

q There are no structural comments to be addressed.

MECHANICAL:

q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed.

PLUMBING:

q Sheet P1, Detail 2 and the plumbing plan both indicate that one of the waste vents is to vent horizontally through the wall. Vents shall terminate vertically not less than 6 inches above the roof nor less than 1 foot from any vertical surface. Please indicate these requirements on the plans.

ELECTRICAL:

q Sheet E2, the equipment tool hook-up requirements schedule, Item #15 (the Big Slant) shows 92 amps with #6 conductors and a #8 ground. Please correct. The conductors should be a minimum of #2's [1999 NEC Table 310-16]. Also check the conduit size and ground size based on this change.

q Sheet E3, the one line diagram, please correct the discrepancy between the one line diagram and the panel schedule for Panel DPA. One indicates 400 amps while the other indicates 600 amps.
