Revise plans and analysis sheet. 4. Main exit sign uses terminology from previous codes. Use current terminology as per section 1003.3.1.8.2 IBC. |

07/08/2003 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. Sheet E2 1. Locate equipment in Plan View that is to go on Panel "CC", by Panel & Circuit Number. None of the electrical loads appear to be fed from this panel. 2. There appears to be some "double counting" of loads on Panels "CC" and "K". For example, the Rice Warmers, at 600 VA each, are on K-25, 27 and CC-1,3. Please clarify. Sheet E4 1. Not more than 42 overcurrent devices of a lighting and appliance panelboard shall be installed in any one cabinet or cutout box. See NEC 384-14 and 384-15. It appears from the plan view that this panel is in two separate enclosures, and the Panel Schedule itself denotes two sections, but please verify. Provide a cut sheet if necessary. 2. Load calculation for Panel "M" is suspect. For example, it feeds lighting dimmer Panel "L", yet there is no lighting listed in demand calcs; it lists Kitchen Equipment as 1,312 VA, yet it feeds Panel "K", which would have (20,145) (0.65) = 13,094 VA. Furthermore, the resultant for Panel "M" (218) should be the same as that calculated in the Building Electrical Service Load Summary (336.5). It is unclear which section of the Code is being used as the basis of these calculations. If it is Table 220-36, the 0.90 demand factor would be applied to the entire connected load, not a part of it. If it is Part B of NEC 220, I don't see where the 0.90 demand factor applies to HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment. 3. AFC at Panel "CC" is 15,348 per calculations. Yet the Panel, on Sheet E2, is only rated for 10,000A. Sheet K1 1. Provide for a disconnect switch for the rooftop-mounted refrigerator compressor and any other such roof-mounted equipment. |
