1. Provide dimensioned floor plans for the proposed additions. As an example, see the upper level beam. No construction dimension is provided.

Sheet 1
1. Specify the use of the carport addition. Specifically identify if this is to be a sleeping room.

2. The partial floor plan shown on this sheet suggests that a partition wall is to be constructed in the carport addition. Provide a construction detail of this wall. Specify the new door size in this wall.




3. Provide hardwired, interconnected smoke alarms with battery back up for new and existing sleeping rooms and in the immediate vicinity outside of each sleeping area. Ref. R317.1.1.

4. Specify a maximum sill height of 44" for the 4040XO windows. Ref. R310.1.

5. Indicate how light and ventilation requirements are to be complied with in the south room of the carport addition. Ref. R303.1.

6. Provide landings at both new exterior openings. Ref. R312.1.2.

Sheet 3
1. The footing width in the detail does not match the section. Revise.

2. Section A is incomplete. Show the foundation with steel reinforcement. Post to foundation connection specification and post to beam connection specification.

3. No ledger details are shown in section A. Please provide.

4. Section A note number 11 is unclear. Both 3 x 10 and 4 x 10 beams are called out. Please clarify.

5. Indicate how the proposed wrought iron rail is to be connected at both top and bottom conditions.

6. Specify fire blocking to be provided. Ref. 602.8.

7. Habitable room shall have a floor area of not less than 70 s.f. The sitting room does not appear to meet this requirement. Ref. R304.2.

7. Indicate ceiling heights. Typical throughout plan set.

8. Locate the skylight in section B/3.

9. Specify locations and thickness of gypsum wall board interior finishes.

MECHANICAL COMMENTS - The mechanical portion has been reviewed and approved.

ELECTRICAL COMMENTS
Sheet 2
1. Show the hard wired, interconnected smoke alarms with battery back up. Ref. R317.



2. It appears an additional convenience receptacle is required along the south wall of the north room in the carport addition. Ref. E3801.2.

3. Show switches and lights for both exterior landings. Ref. E3803.3.
