06/23/2003 | STANTEC | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Detail 13 on Sheet A06 notes the scupper as 8" x 8" while the roof plan (Sheet A02) and the rear elevation (Sheet A04) indicate that the opening is 8" x 16". Please coordinate. This previous comment has been partially addressed. The keyed note on Sheet A04 now describes pipe bollards, however the key has been left pointing to the scupper. Please correct. STRUCTURAL: q Provide a City of Tucson special inspection form(s) for the following: · Engineered Fill · Concrete · Reinforcing Steel · Field Welding · Masonry This previous comment has not been addressed. We still have not received the special inspection form(s) for this project. q Does the foundation design shown for the gas pump canopy take into account the recommendations of the geotechnical report submitted for this project (requiring engineered fill)? The geotechnical report does not address a "caisson" type footing. Please clarify. This previous comment has not been addressed. The typical footing detail on Madison Drawing No. F-1C needs to reference the geotechnical report [Western Technologies Job No. 2920JX260 dated February 1, 2001] and the requirement for engineered fill under this footing. q Is there to be a closure pour over the steel column base plate for the gas pump canopy (reference Madison Sheet 1 of 1, Typical Footing Detail)? This previous comment has not been addressed. The manner that this detail is drawn implies that the base plate of the column can be covered by fill dirt between the top of the footing and the island. Provide a note on this detail describing the requirement for a closure pour. MECHANICAL: q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q There are no electrical comments to be addressed. -End of Review- |
