1. This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan.

2. The Project Data on Sheet T-1 for the codes needs to be revised in accordance with the 2000 IBC. The Type Construction should be V-B. The IBC uses A for rated and B for non-rated construction. The basic allowable area for an M Occupancy of V-B construction is 9,000 s.f. per IBC Table 503. The allowable area Modifications is addressed in IBC Section 504. Using the formulas given and the site plans yields a total allowable area of 40,522 s.f. See the attached calculations based upon Sheet C2.02.

3. Sheet A0.2, please coordinate Detail #6 for the 8' enclosure wall with the Structural Engineer's calculations, see redline notes on the Detail.

4. Please revise the Accessible Parking Detail #3 on Sheet A0.3 to comply with 2000 Section 1106.4 and ADAAG Manual, Chapter 4.6, Section 4.6.3. One of the three required accessible parking spaces shall be van accessible; which requires a minimum 96" wide space with a minimum 96" wide adjacent access aisle. The detail shows only a standard 5'-0" wide adjacent access aisle which is allowed for a normal accessible parking space. However, the van accessible space requires an 8'-0" wide adjacent access aisle.

STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:

1. The structural calculations and plans have been reviewed and approved; subject to providing the Special Inspection Certificate/Inspection Testing Agreement with the list of the City Approved/Certified Special Inspectors who will perform the respective Special Inspections. Contact the City Development Services Department for copies of the appropriate forms.

PLUMBING COMMENTS:

Sheet P2.1 and P3.1

1. The water isometric on Sheet P2.1 shows the Expansion Tank (E.T.) in the wrong location, see Detail 7/P3.1. There shall be no shut-off or check valves between the E.T. and the water heater in accordance with 1994 UPC Section 603.8, third paragraph.

Sheet P4.1

1. Please coordinate the Building Fixtures and Demands Schedule with the plans. There are 3 wall hydrants plus the roof top hose bib and the combined total of Floor Drains and Floor Sinks shown on the plans is 5. Please correct.

MECHANICAL COMMENTS:

1. The mechanical plans have been reviewed and approved.

ELECTRICAL COMMENTS:

Sheets E0.1, E1.1 and E4.1

1. All exterior light fixtures shall be fully shielded with NO dropped lenses to comply with the Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code. Provide "cut-sheets" for these fixtures to verify.

2. The Electrical plans have been reviewed and approved, subject to resolving comment #1 and to revising the interior lighting energy usage to comply with the 1998 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), Table 705.4 to a maximum of 2.8 watts per s.f. Submit calculations to verify.

ENERGY CODE COMMENTS:

1. The building envelope calculations and plans have been reviewed and approved; however, there is some inconsistence on the plans. Most plan/details show R-19 in the ceiling as does the calculations; however, there are a few places which show R-30. Please coordinate and resolve.

2. See Electrical Comment #2 above.

ACCESSIBILITY COMMENTS:
