This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. 2. A sealed letter is attached to the engineering construction documents which reads in part: "The Professional Engineer's Seal is not intended to certify or imply that the building does or does not conform to any National, State, or Local Building Codes." Construction documents are required to be in accord with the jurisdiction's adopted building code and material design standards. The foregoing disclaimer appears to negate code compliance and it is not an acceptable cover letter. An acceptable cover letter should acknowledge compliance with the requirements of the 2000 IBC as applicable to the steel truss deferred design submittal. The engineering construction documents as submitted can be approved if the cover letter, as written, is deleted from the deferred engineering design submittal. Please review and clarify. Reference IBC Sections 102.1 and 106. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: The architectural portion was not a part of this review. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: The structural portion was not a part of this review.
