Revise occupancy classification currently shown as S-2 as this structure , when taken as a non-separated Type V-B composite, is not an open parking garage (See IBC 406.3.2 definition along with 406.3.4) and does not comply with 406.4.2 for enclosed garage or 406.2.7 mixed separation requirements. Please be advised that plan review interprets the word separations used in the title to 406.2.7, and the supporting text which includes the word separation to mean that only the separated approach (IBC 302.3.3) mentioned in IBC 302.3.1 may be utilized and that the non-separated approach cannot be used based on the restrictions found in IBC 406.3.4. 4.
