All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. ARCHITECTURAL: q Previous Comment: Sheet A6, Details 1 & 2: Maneuvering clearances for doors are not in compliance with ANSI A117.1 Section 404.2.4. Recheck doors to and from rooms as well as to accessible toilet compartment. Toilet compartment door can swing in if space complies with ADAAG 4.22.2 & ANSI A117.1 - 604.8.1.2 and ANSI A117.1 - 604.8.1.4. Still Required: The clearance required on the interior side of doors 22 and 23 is 54" minimum width per ANSI A117.1 Fig. 404.2.4.1(f). Also the plan does not show interior dimensions of the toilet stalls with in-swinging doors to allow verification that clear spaces are as per ADAAG 4.22.2 & ANSI A117.1 - 604.8.1.2 and ANSI A117.1 - 604.8.1.4. STRUCTURAL: q Previous Comment: How is the 3 side open canopy laterally supported in north/south direction? Still Required: Canopy cannot be braced by the "building". Vertical shear element doing the support must be identified and sized. More over W24 X 55 bea- line could be extended via drag strut to building roof diaphragm and shear wall. However, canopy beam is at lower level than building roof diaphragm. q Previous Comment: How is the building laterally supported at gridline F (with floor level)? No braced frames are shown at the first level. Metal stud wall is shown on 2nd floor but no sheathing and screwing is specified. The same applies along gridline 4 and 8. Still Required: Detail 6/S4.2 - Need to show A706 weld-able rebars. q S4.3 Detail 2 - Need to show shear transfer connection from roof decking to parapet sheathing via blocking.
