| 08/04/2003 | Robert Sherry | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. The termination of the condensate drains on the northwest end of the freezer storage is unclear. Locate the drywell to allow maintenance. 2. The proposed design of the drywell does not provide for a breather pipe and does not specify the size of the gravel to be used for fill. Provide calculation to show that the specified size of the drywell will accommodate the anticipated condensate flow. (Refer to Appendix I of the Arizona State modifications to the 1994 Uniform Plumbing Code for guidance.) |

PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Per our telephone conversation of 8/25/03, on Keynote #4 Sheet E1.0, for the AHU tap circuits, please add the following: "from circuit breaker to j-box, and from j-box to fused disconnects, per NEC reference to 430-28 (2)." 2. Show location of transformer on plans. It is important to know whether the conductors are outside and fulfill NEC 240-21 (c) (4) requirements. If these conductors do not meet Tap Rule requirements, an overcurrent device will have to be installed to protect the secondary. Please review any pertinent requirements in 240-21 before resubmittal. 3. Per NEC 250-50 (b), the metal frame of the Storage trailer(s) shall be bonded to the grounding electrode system. This comment was made on the first submittal, and it does not appear to be covered in any of the grounding material or noted anywhere. 4. Make explicit that the code-required Exit Signage, both signs and emergency illumination, are included in the lighting circuit. If not, provide such circuit. See Sheet A-5. This comment was made on the first submittal. With the second submittal Sheet MP-1 shows exit signs and lights. Still no indication on electrical. |
