Comments from the June 12, 2003 Engineering review have not been adequately addressed. Approval is not recommended at this time - resubmittal is required. Please address the following comments listed below, and provide a response letter specifically addressing each comment. Drainage Report: 1. Please refer to drainage report content and format requirements outlined in the City of Tucson's Standards Manual for Drainage Design and Floodplain Management (SMDDFM) - City of Tucson Development Standard (D.S.) 10-02.0, section 2.3. The submitted report does not address/discuss some of the required components, outlined below: a) Address offsite and onsite drainage characteristics in accordance with sections 2.3.1.3 A (2, 3, & 6) and B 2 (DS 10-02.0); b) Address/discuss the technical items listed in section 2.3.1.4 C 2, 3 & 4 (DS 10-02.0); c) Provide detention basin design requirements, including basin and basin outlet weir details and dimensions, fully labeled and discussed in the report. Specific attention should be given to the items outlined in sections 2.3.1.6 A 4 a & e, B, and C, and sections III and V of the Pima County/City of Tucson Stormwater Detention/Retention Manual (DS 10-01.0). Please note that historic discharge location and fashion should be replicated as closely as possible. d) Describe and provide hydraulic calculations for the proposed swale along the western property line, to include a cross section of the swale dimensions, per section 2.3.1.5 C (DS 10-02.0); e) Please provide the summaries to be included in the basin checklist for the annual inspection report, in accordance with section 2.3.1.6 C 2 a & b (DS10-02.0); f) Provide a soils report containing the items listed in section 14.2.6 (DS 10-02.0); SITE PLAN COMMENTS: a) Please revise the refuse container dimensions to meet the minimum width and depth dimensions outlined in Development Standard 6-01.4.2 (D.S. 6-01.0); b) Provide sidewalk scuppers for a minimum of 10-year flow conveyance under sidewalk areas (D.S. 2-08.4.1 E and 3-01.4.4 F2). GRADING PLAN COMMENTS: a) A grading permit will be required for this project. Please complete a grading permit application and submit with the resubmittal. Estimated earthwork quantities must be provided with the permit application prior to submittal; b) Include general grading/construction notes, in accordance with Chapter 36, 2000 IBC (excavation and grading). The consultant should direct special attention to the sections pertaining to cuts, fills, grading setbacks, slope treatments and geotechnical report requirements and recommendations. Please note that subsequent comments may be forthcoming, upon review of a formal grading plan/permit application and submittal.
