Demonstrate how the existing structure qualifies for Type V-B Construction and/or revise Project Data as applicable. Ref. IBC Table 503, 506 and review 506.2, 506.2.1. 2. After establishing the minimum type of construction for the existing building be advised that the Kiosk materials must be in compliance with IBC Chapter 6, Table 601. 3. Provide City of Tucson governing code editions in the Project Data. 4. Indicate status of fire sprinkler system in the Project Data. 5. Provide evidence of the third party certification or ICBO/E.S. Report Number for the pre-manufactured electrical, plumbing systems that are not contained within the plan documents and/or unable to be inspected by C.O.T. Clarify if the preassembled structural portions are also part of the third party inspection process. Sheet A-03 1. Dimension plans for compliance with IBC 1108.12.3 for sales areas/counters in Sheet 1/6 and/or identify which options on Sheet 4/6 are used. Also dimension heights of the PL 34, 36 counters on Sheet 2/6. 2. Demonstrate method of compliance with IBC 1103.2.3 for accessibility to the work area. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS General 1. City of Tucson current Building code is 2000 IBC and the submitted plans and calculations shall be revised to reflect latest code listing and design requirements. Please update. 2. Recheck calculation page 3 and clarify where lower beam assembly element M1000 appears to be 10% overstressed. 3. Provide general structural notes on plans specifying all material strength requirements as well as design load criteria. For example shear panel/column two cantilever columns lateral support is not shown to be type S-1 Wet #4 as determined per calculations. Please provide information on plans consistent with the submitted design. Also provide current IBC identification index for industrial plywood panels listed on pg.15 of calculations. PLUMBING COMMENTS General 1. Specify trap arm lengths in Detail 3. Ref. UPC Table 10-1. 2. Address method of cross connection control for water supplied devices shown in the plumbing chart. Ref. UPC 603. 3. Detail 5 does not show the size/depth of the foundation of the existing building. Structural engineer shall confirm that sump does not impact foundation. Identify any construction excavations precautions and if building loads are imposed on sump basin that such transfer is acceptable and that sump basin can withstand the load. 4. Confirm above ceiling areas are not plenums as plastic DWV piping has been specified. 5. Justify need for 1/8" per foot slope of gravity line to sump. Ref. UPC 708. 6. Provide interceptor per UBC 1008 or 1011. 7. Reflect air gaps pursuant to UPC 801. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS General 1. Clarify if the optional lights are to be provided. 2.
