ARCHITECTURAL: q The 1-hour rated floor/ceiling assembly (U.L. Design No. L525) is not detailed completely. This system indicates that it should have a plywood subflooring (this has been provided) with either an additional layer of wood floor underlayment or 1 of about 11 different floor toping systems applied. Reference the attached U.L. Design No. L525. q Also the membrane penetration through the floor described above, into the non-rated mechanical chase needs to be protected (i.e. fire damper) [2000 IBC Sec. 711.4.2]. STRUCTURAL: q Provide special inspection certificates for the following items: · Masonry · Field Welding · Epoxy Anchors q The calculation on Page 27 indicates a masonry lintel for an 8'-8" opening. However on the plans there is only one opening that is of this size and it has a wide flange lintel, for which a calculation has not been provided. Please provide the calculation for the wide flange lintel. MECHANICAL: q The membrane penetration through the floor described in the architectural items above, needs to be protected (i.e. fire damper) [2000 IBC Sec. 711.4.2]. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q An additional exit sign is needed on the second floor outside of the alcove serving Rooms 202 and 203. In the corridor serving the offices on the second floor the exit sign provided in the alcove is not visible [2000 IBC Sec. 1003.2.10.1]. |
