All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Is the exposed concrete floor in the men's and women's rooms somehow being sealed to make it nonabsorbent surface [2000 IBC Sec. 1209.1]. Also, the application of a vinyl base does no meet the intent of the code to provide an integral coved base with the floor. q The urinal in the men's room is not accessible. There is inadequate clearance at the door [ANSI A117.1-1998 Sec. 404.2.3]. Also, the clearance for the alcove needs to be maintained at 36" [ANSI A117.1-1998 Sec. 305.7.1] based on the depth of the alcove (being over 24" deep). STRUCTURAL: q Provide a City of Tucson special inspection certificate for the masonry construction [2000 IBC Chapter 17]. MECHANICAL: q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q The foyer needs to have means of egress illumination, including battery back up [2000 IBC Sec. 1003.2.11.2]. -End of Review- |
