Revise structural frame in fire resistive construction block that refers to Table 602 as a 3 hour rating is required by Table 601 but may be reduced by 1 hour to a 2 hour rating when supporting a roof only. Bearing walls (interior and exterior) may be reduced similarly from 3 hour to 2 hour; Revise references to Table 602 and revise hourly rating shown for exterior bearing walls. 3. Please indicate the number of stories for this addition in the code review checklist. 4. Revise flame spread class shown for corridors and exit ways to Class B per IBC Table 803.4. 5. Denote fire alarm requirements in the code review checklist. 6. Identify incidental use areas in the code review checklist per IBC Table 302.1.1 and denote method of separation. See laboratories, storage and linen rooms. Coordinate damper types/locations with mechanical plans. 7. Specify corridor construction requirements per IBC 407.3 in code review checklist. Also provide typical cross sections for each condition that occurs. See Sheet 1.1, Comment 10 below. Sheet 1.1 1. Identify the location of smoke barriers and show travel distance pursuant to IBC 407.4. 2. Demonstrate compliance with IBC 407.4.1 for refuge area capacity for the additional patient load created by this addition. 3. Provide detailing addressing method of maintaining the required protection of corridors specified in IBC 407.3 at relocated electrical panels (see Keynote 10). Also identify all locations where Keynote 10 applies. 4. Corridors shall not have storage facilities within them (see storage in Keynote 9) as IBC 407.2 requires them to be separated from other areas. Also see IBC 1003.2.8. Coordinate with mechanical plans where air circulation occurs between lab and corridor which is prohibited by IBC 1004.3.2.4. 5. Provide sink/counter height in lounge per IBC 1108.4 and supply a 48" long space 30" in width that is centered at sink to permit a side (parallel) use or supply under sink knee clearances and protect exposed piping. Coordinate with plumbing plans for 6-1/2" max. sink depth and accessible faucet controls. 6. Clarify what door(s) the button in Keynote 20 controls and address fail safe egress provisions. 7. Identify location of Keynote 19 on floor plan. 8. Provide complete detailing exactly per listed, tested assembly descriptions for all fire resistive construction per IBC 703 or reflect Chapter 7 Table and item numbers to be used. 9. Provide listed, tested firestops for penetrations of fire resistive construction either on the plans or as attachments to them unless cover sheet identifies firestops to be a deferred submittal and the notations in IBC 106.3.4.2 stated. 10. Provide plan detailing of interface of corridor walls and at fire resistive and at smoke rated walls with the top of wall termination members. 11. Clarify width of corridor to future treatment room pursuant to IBC 1004.3.2.2. Sheet 1.3 1. Revise stairs to show guardrail along open side and at landing that complies with IBC 1003.2.12. Detail handrails and handrail extensions per IBC 1003.3.11, 1003.3.11.5. Specify handrail sizes and reflect compliance with IBC 1003.3.3.11.3, 1003.3.3.11.4 for handrail supports. Sheet P3.0 1.Clarify cold water supply for floor sink (P-4). Roof Drainage Sheet 7.1 1.Provide size of scupper and details of installation through parapet. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet M1.1 1.Clarify transfer air to AC/3 which utilizes closet space off corridor. Sheet M3.0 1.Provide specifications for humidifiers. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS General 1.
