Thirty-six inch diameter X 4-feet deep drywells are shown installed two feet below grade. The edge of the drywell is depicted on the plan to be about one foot from the exterior face of the building. The continuing deposit of condensate water into soils supporting the building foundation loads shall be subject to review of a qualified building foundation soils engineer for the effects of soils wetting which may potentially produce soil expansion or settlement. Please provide a written design review and acceptance by a qualified foundation soils engineer for the proper positioning and installation of the proposed drywells. (IBC 1503.4, IBC 1803.3, IBC 1802.2.1) MECHANICAL & PLUMBING COMMENTS: Sheet M-1 / P-1: 1. The permitted drawings called for the condensate to be piped to the plumbing tailpiece of a sink. Condensate may be drained into an approved sink tailpiece or other receptor or other approved place of disposal. The revised drawings show the condensate being piped to exterior drywells in close proximity to building foundations.
