SUMMARY: Engineering Section has reviewed the subject building permit application received on 04 March 2003. Engineering approval is not recommended at this time - resubmittal is required. Please address the following comments:

1. Provide all lot bearings and dimensions, and correct the northwestern lot bearing (see highlighted enclosures) DS 2-02.2.1.5;

2. Depict drainage patterns and finish grades, per Development Standard (DS) 2-02.2.1.16;

3. Provide estimated cut/fill quantities (DS 2-02.2.1.17);

4. Label the 35' Drainage Easement with recording information (Book 45 Page 37) noted on the plan (DS 2-02.2.1.20);

5. Extend contours to property limits. It appears that the contours indicated do not match those available (see enclosure provided). For grading plan submittal, a registered Land Surveyor (RLS) shall prepare a topo and submit for contour verification. Label and depict existing topographic contours at intervals not exceeding 2' and/or spot elevations as pertinent, with bench mark based on City of Tucson Datum, including City Field Book and Page numbers (DS 2-02.2.1.23);

6. It appears that a grading plan will be required. Site grading must conform to Development Standard 9-04.3.1 - 9-04.3.3 (copies provided in package), and the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) local amendment, available at www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd. Go to "Codes and Ordinances" then "Building Codes" for additional excavation and grading requirements.

7. Depict any existing drainage structures that may exist onsite.
