See the list above in this correction letter. Also, the 2000 International Fire Code is the applicable fire code (per the City of Tucson Fire Department, and not the State Fire Marshall). ARCHITECTURAL: q The walls and ceiling underneath the stairs that enclose usable space need to be of 1-hour fire-resistive construction [2000 IBC Sec. 1005.3.2.2]. q The width of the egress court is reduced at the gate opening to less than the required minimum of 44" [2000 IBC Sec. 1006.3.1.1]. The gate leaves measure 44 ½ inches when closed, however the gates can only open 90 which means the door thickness blocks a portion of the opening width. STRUCTURAL: q Page 14 of the structural calculations indicates that the anchorage of the bent plate lintel is to be at 12" o.c., however Detail 221 on Sheet S5.1 indicates that the anchorage is to be at 24" o.c. Please clarify. MECHANICAL: q How is the outside air that has been scheduled for this project meeting the requirements for ventilation [2000 IMC Table 403.3]? The dining area is only receiving 400 c.f.m. which will only allow for 20 occupants. q How is mechanical exhaust being handled at the shower? PLUMBING: q Is the drain shown at the fountain existing? Where does it drain (daylight or sewer)? Please clarify. ELECTRICAL: q There are no electrical comments to be addressed. |
