3. Pipe sizing should be limited to 10 FPS or the maximum values given in the appropriate Installation Standard (e.g. copper piping at 5-8 FPS, PVC at 8 FPS). Reference Section A 6.1, UPC 1994. The 1" cold water lines feeding each battery of water closets are undersized.

IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. Lights are depicted on Panel L Circuit 2 on the Electric Plan. However, on the Panel Schedule, there are only existing receptacles. Please clarify.
2. Keynote 6 in Library calls for a new lighting fixture. Identify panel and circuit number.
3. Add load calculation on Panel L for new Exhaust Fans on Keynote 3 on Sheet E-101.
4. Line Diagram calls for the installation of #12 G on the load side of a 30A CB. This conductor shall be sized at #10 per NEC Table 250-122.
5. On Sheet E-101, the existing service is depicted as 200A, and scratched out to indicate 400A. Please have the Registrant revise the plans to make this change, and either generate another version resealed, or make use of a Revision triangle, cloud, initial, and date.
6. New AC is line-to-line according to the mechanical plans and panel schedule. If so, the single-pole disconnect indicated on the Electrical Plan will not suffice.
7. Load calculation for service calls for a 2-ton AC. Mechanical Plans and One Line diagram call for a 5-ton AC. Please clarify.
8. What was submitted for electrical was the following:
1) one set with Sheet E-101 sealed 6/15/03 and revised 8/9/03, and Sheet E-102 sealed 6/15/03 and revised 8/9/03
2) a second set with Sheet E-101 sealed 6/15/03 and revised 8/9/03, and no Sheet E-102
3) an isolated Sheet E-102 sealed 9/13/03
This review was based on Sheet E-101 sealed 6/15/03 and revised 8/9/03, and Sheet E-102 sealed 9/13/03. On the next submittal, assemble the plans such that all of the current sheets are in proper order per your index, and that there is no mixing of current with superceded sheets, and that both of the required two sets are complete, and that any superceded sheets are marked as such.
9. Response letter was not dated, items were too general to be able to discern to what they related, and there was no correspondence between numbered responses and original comments (5 comments first review, 11 comments on second review, 6 responses).
