Golf Links Road Site Plan Review (2nd review) TRANSMITTAL: July 3, 2003 Upon completion of the following revision/addition, an over the counter review may be arranged to obtain stamped approval by the zoning review section without resubmitting the site plan. The following item must be revised on or added to the site plan: 1. For an expansion of building area a calculation of standard vehicle parking spaces required and provided must be added to the site plan. Also, provide calculations for handicapped parking (see comment 3), bicycle parking (based on the library, bicycle parking is required at 15 percent of the vehicle parking spaces provided, 90 % class 2, 10 % class 1). Dimension the width of the PAAL in the parking lot expansion area. Dimension new bicycle parking (if any is to be provided based on calculation. DS 2-02 LUC 3.3.4 2. Revise the calculation of percent building and vehicle use area expansions to be correct. Percent expansions are not the same as Floor Area Ratio calculations. The percent expansion of building area must be calculated as the gross floor area of addition ÷ existing gross floor area. Likewise, percent vehicle use area expansion must be calculated as square footage of addition to vehicle use area ÷ existing vehicle use area. Please revise. DS 2-02.2.2.A.6 3. It does not appear that enough handicapped parking spaces are provided. Only five are shown on the drawing on sheet A-0. Refer to the IBC section 1106 to determine the number of handicapped parking spaces and van accessible spaces are required. For uses providing between 200 and 300 vehicle parking spaces, 7 handicapped spaces are required, including one van accessible handicapped parking space. Dimension the widths of new handicapped parking spaces and access ramps to be provided. Provide the maximum slope of the handicapped ramps and aisles to be provided (maximum =1:12).
