STRUCTURAL COMMENTS
Sheet 3.0
1.Reference Note 5 of masonry specifications and coordinate #4 @ 32" o.c. typical vertical reinforcement with page 7/18 of calculation package where #4 @ 16" o.c. is developed; please clarify.

2.Reference Note B of steel specifications and clarify ASTM A-992 shown on plan. Coordinate with structural design submitted where all steel elements are designed as ASTM A36.

3.Reference high strength bolts addressed on Detail 11/3.3 and add such Special Inspections on plan notes. See IBC 1704.3.3.

Sheet 3.1
1.See Architectural Sheets 1.0 or 0.3 and Topography Map for correct orientation of North arrow. Please revise plans and calculations wall references.

2.Clarify project document where 3500 psf allowable soil pressure at built locations is addressed. GSN on Sheet 3.0 indicates 1500 psf soil pressure only. Also recheck adequacy of entire spread footing with 2' x 3' extension under steel columns.

3.Seismic load governs in N/S direction, but page 14/18 does not appear to account for weight of in-plane wall when such wall is designed. Please see South wall piers and recheck.

4.Coordinate with Comment #3 above, and address bearing pressure check under masonry shear wall foundations, including combined bending and compression, not found addressed with the submitted package.



Sheet 3.2
1.Reference Detail 5 and clarify/provide wall design where wall continues below ground level and lateral soil pressure shall be addressed.

PLUMBING COMMENTS
General
1.Plumbing consists of gas piping for rooftop units. No drainage or water supply for fixtures is indicated in plans.

Roof Drainage
Sheet 1.0
1.Provide details of roof drainage system. Include size of scupper, downspout, etc. Ref. UPC Appendix D, 3"/hr.

Sheet 15.3
1.Verify existing gas supply system is adequate to supply additional combined loading of 300 CFH for installation of AC/1 and AC/2. Ref. UPC Chapter 12.

2.Provide specifications for gas piping. Ref. UPC 1210.0.

MECHANICAL COMMENTS
General
1.Provide specifications for duct and condensate drain materials.

Sheet 15.1
1.Installation of CO2 sensors are indicated suggesting enthalpy economizer system will be provided. However, equipment schedules on Sheet 15.2 indicate manual outside air damper. No air setting is indicated. Please clarify. Provide outside air determined in accordance with IMC 403.2.

2.Coordinate with Electrical Plans and provide duct smoke detectors in return air duct of each A/C unit upstream of outside air connections and filters. Detectors cannot be deleted due to exterior doors. Ref. IMC 606.2.1.

Sheet 15.2
1.International Energy Conservation Code Calculations shall comply with 1998 IECC, not 2000 edition as indicated. Building envelope compliance (Section 702) is provided and Equipment Schedule indicates compliance with Section 703. Water heating (Section 704) is not applicable. However, no compliance for lighting is indicated as required by IECC Section 705. Please provide. ASHRAE/IES Energy Code for Commercial and High-Rise Residential Buildings may be utilized to satisfy requirement. Ref. IECC Sections 601.1, 701.2 & 702.1.
