10/02/2003 | Doug Williams | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | SUBJECT: Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse REVIEWER: Doug Williams DATE: 3 October 2003 ACTIVITY NUMBER: T03BU02375 T15S, R13E, Section 10 SUMMARY: Engineering Division has reviewed the Grading Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP's) and text received on 16 September 2003. A complete and thorough review could not be performed due to the fact that there was no Development Plan included in this submittal for reference. Please ensure a copy of the approved Development Plan is included with the resubmittal. Approval is not recommended at this time. The following comments are offered: GRADING PLAN: 1. Provide a general paving/grading note or notes indicating grading will conform to the 2000 International Building Code - local amendment (Chapter 36 - Excavation and Grading) requirements. Visit http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/2000_IBC_Amendments.pdf for access to this document; 2. Please remove or revise the scale adjoining the north arrows (lower left corner) on sheets 2 and 3; 3. Depict an appropriate barrier, such as temporary curbing, as indicated on the Development Plan, at the northwestern driveway terminus (ref. keynote 14, detail 5/3); 4. Identify any downspouts that may discharge roof drainage towards sidewalk areas. Sidewalk scuppers will be required at all such locations, if any, for conveyance of 100% of the 10-year storm under the sidewalk area; 5. Please provide further detail in Section 11/3 demonstrating water harvesting maximization in the landscape areas (maximum of 6" depressed landscaping). SWPPP: (Refer to the Construction General Permit - CGP for referenced Parts) 1. Indicate in the SWPPP text the name(s) of the party or parties with day-to-day operational control of those activities necessary to ensure compliance with the SWPPP or other permit conditions. Provide a table for recording the names and responsibilities for each party responsible for activities necessary to ensure compliance with the SWPPP or other permit conditions (Part IV.B.1.d); 2. Revise the stabilized construction entrance detail to match the location depicted on the plan - the entrance does not appear to adjoin a public road (Part IV.C.3.d); 3. Please provide a copy or copies of the signed/dated NOI; 4. Provide a copy of the signed and dated Signatory Authorization Designation (Form A-1); 5. Provide the contact name and phone number and location of SWPPP on the "Construction Site Notice" (Form I-1) · Please note that additional comments may be forthcoming should Development Plan information indicate additional grading information or details are necessary. · Resubmittal shall include one set of the stamped approved Development Plan, revised Grading & Paving and Stormwater Pollution Prevention plans/text addressing all of the above comments. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 791-5550, extension 1189 or Dwillia1@ci.tucson.az.us. Doug Williams Sr. Engineering Associate Engineering Division Development Services Department |
