Sheet 14 is referenced for Typical Top of Wall Elevation Step Detail. Is Sheet 14 meant to be Sheet G-14? Sheets G-3, G-10 and 14 have not been provided with the submittal package. Please provide two copies of all drawings required to construct the work. Also see comment 7 below. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1. 2. Your letter mentions a minimum of 5 feet between the curb and the wall. However, Sheet G-13 calls for 4.5 feet minimum along the north wall line. A location dimension is not shown locating the other retaining walls from the curb line. Please review, coordinate and clarify with a dimension, the location of all retaining walls from the curb line. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1. 3. Wall Details 2 and 3 on Sheet G-19 are not shown as having a descending slope or a minimum 2-foot bench on the toe side of the retaining wall. However, depending upon where the proposed wall detail is applied, a descending toe slope of 1 on 4 or 1 on 3 does exist. Please review, coordinate and clarify wall design Detail 2 & 3 on the drawing with the design structural engineer. Reference IBC Section 1604.4. 4. The grout lift height is shown on Sheet G-17, Note 8.D. However, the grout pout height is not readily evident since it is likely that it should be identified in Note 8.D. Please clarify where the grout pour height is shown. Reference ACI-530.1 Section 3.5C. 5. The Special Inspection Documents as required by the City of Tucson for structural masonry and soils, have not been included with the submittal. Please provide. Reference IBC Section 1704. 6. Notes on Sheet G-19 and Note 8.B on Sheet G-17 appear to establish some kind of limitation for special inspection. However, all structural masonry under the seal of a registrant shall be special inspected. Please delete the erroneous notes. Reference IBC Section 1704.5. 7. Please provide a summary listing of which drawings (Title and Drawing number) are required to finitely locate, coordinate and construct the proposed on-site retaining walls. See comment one above. Reference IBC Section 106. |
