| 07/03/2003 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. 1. "Small appliance branch circuits shall not serve any other loads per NEC 210-52 (b) (2). Reconfigure kitchen branch circuits." The above comment was on the first submittal. For example, in Unit One on the first floor, there is exterior lighting, interior lighting, and an exterior receptacle on the Dining Room Circuit A-17; . A Kitchen Countertop GFI is on Circuit A-9, primarily used for lighting. Make corrections typical for all units. 2. "Bathroom branch circuits shall not serve any other loads per NEC 210-11 (c) (3). Reconfigure bathroom branch circuits." The above comment was on the first submittal. Suggest moving the GFI receptacle by the sink from Circuit A-7, which also serves the Bedroom, to A-5. Make corrections typical for all units. 3. Lighting fixture A3 is does not appear to be appropriate for exterior installation. Lighting schedules does not indicate suitability for wet/damp location. No fixture cut sheet. 4. Lighting fixture A3 does not appear to meet the requirements of the Lighting Ordinance. This wattage of lamp shall have full cutoff light distribution of luminaire. 5. Fixture S3 needs to be changed. No incandescent lighting permitted. Per the 1998 IECC, Section 705.5, exterior lighting shall have a source efficiency of at least 45 lumens per watt. 6. "Countertop and outdoor receptacles shall be GFCI per NEC 210-8 (a) (3) and (6)." Add receptacles on Circuit 11 to this requirement. 7. Service load, at 392.34 amps, exceeds 600 kcmil aluminum conductor ampacity, which is 340 amps according to the 75ÂșC column of Table 310-16. 8. No equipment grounding conductor shall be installed in conduit with service entrance conductors. This applies to the conduit run on the line side of the service disconnect. 9. The equipment grounding conductors from the gutter to the meters, and from the meters to the panel disconnects, need to be sized according to the overcurrent device ahead of them, but in no case shall be larger than the circuit conductors. Thus they are all undersized per NEC 250-122 (a). Correct, and re-evaluate conduit fill. |
