Per NEC 680-57 (c) a sign installed inside a fountain shall be at least 5' from the edge. Please see the attached. 2. Specify what type of GFCI is to be provided. Per NEC 680-57 (b) all circuits supplying the sign shall have ground-fault circuit-interrupter for personnel. Per NEC 680-51(a) a GFCI shall be installed in the branch circuit supplying fountain equipment. 3. Show sign disconnect per NEC 680-57 (d) and 600-6. 4. Show design for sign complies with NEC 600-9 (d). 5. Sign ballast shall conform to NEC 600-22. 6. Specify operating voltage on new equipment and existing panel. 7. Specify grounding and bonding per NEC 680-53, 680-54, and Article 250. 8. Size the circuit breaker supplying the pump and sign. Indicate number of poles. 9. Provide overheating protection for submersible pump per NEC 680-51 (d) if applicable. 10. Per NEC 680-51 (f) all equipment shall be removable from the water for normal maintenance. This is not clear from the submittal. 11. Insure stability of installed equipment per NEC 680-51 (g). 12. Provide motor disconnecting means per 430-102 (b). |
