07/09/2002 | RANDY SCHULER | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | GENERAL COMMENTS 1) Please return the plans I have already reviewed along with your second submittal. This requirement is essential in expediting the 2nd review. 2) Please reference the originally reviewed plans for additional information and lighting budget calculations. E1 1) The structural plans do not show pole base design as indicated on the plan. 2) Provide fixture cuts for SA and SB. Please note COT ordinance prohibits any uplight. 3) General note #1 specifies 1996 NEC, it should read 1999 NEC. ADMINISTRATION E2 1) Except for the bath, corridor, and lobby areas all lighting is required to be switched such that you can achieve a uniform reduction of the lighting load by 50% per 1998 IECC 705.2.1. 2) Provide IECC interior lighting budget calculations. See the plans I originally reviewed for proposed calculations. 3) Provide fixture cuts for the type G fixture. E5 1) The utility published available fault current is 55,600 amps for this size service. My measurements indicate the linear distance to panel A is approximately 170' maximum, therefor F1 is approximately 9,719 amps. 2) It appears your notes stipulate a series rated system based on a 42/10 kAIC system which is not adequate. In addition, panels B1, B2, and C indicate a 22/10kAIC system. Please modify the notes utilizing the corrected utility fault current. BUILDING B E4 1) See comments ADMINISTRATION, E2, #1, #2 and #3 above. 2) Provide circuit number and load for type H fixtures. E5 1) It appears the maximum feeder length for panels B1 and B2 is 20', therefor F2 and F3 are approximately 35,747 amps. BUILDING C E4 1) See comments ADMINISTRATION, E2, #1, #2, and #3 above. 2) Provide circuit number and load for type H fixtures. E5 1) Based upon 55,600 amps of fault current F4 fault to panel C is approximately 12,359 amps. BUILDING D E4 1) See comments ADMINISTRATION, E2, #1, #2, and #3 above. 2) Provide circuit number and load for type H fixtures. E5 1) The length of D1 feeder appears to be approximately 120' long, therefore F5 fault is approximately 12,834 amps. |
