SUBJECT: Starr Pass Resort Floodplain Review REVIEWER: Elizabeth Eberbach DATE: December 27, 2002 ACTIVITY NUMBER: T02OT01801 SUMMARY: The Grading Plan, floodplain permit application, Terracon Geotechnical Engineering Report, and Development Plan Drainage Report Addendum were received on November 20, 2002, and reviewed. Engineering does not recommend approval for a floodplain use permit at this time. FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT COMMENTS 1) A drainage report / addendum shall be submitted that specifically defines drainage analyses, details, and conclusions for the grading plan. 2) A floodplain use permit for the five temporary road crossing areas may be obtained before the grading plan approval, with a separate submittal of a floodplain use permit application and crossing plan sheets. 3) If separate floodplain use permits (temporary / permanent road crossings and for other onsite areas) are needed, submit individual applications. 4) The following items pertain to the floodplain use permit application: a) define areas of disturbance for each floodplain use permit application; b) the floodplain use permit application shall be completed including all portions of section 5; c) for temporary road crossings, if either section C or D is answered affirmative, provide agency correspondence as outlined in section 6. 5) IBC Chapter 36, Section 6.2.6: This project shall conform to 404 permitting requirements. All disturbance shall be in approved areas and shall not encroach 404 limits unless exempted through 404 permit. 6) IBC Chapter 36, Section 8: This grading permit is for earthwork and grading construction within the approved grading limits. Additional comments may be forthcoming upon resubmittal. Also see the grading plan review comments (#T02BU02876). If you have any questions, I can be reached at 791-5550, extension 2204.
