01/14/2004 Loren Makus ENGINEERING REVIEW Denied SUBJECT: Montage Vista - Phase 2 Grading Plan Review
REVIEWER: Loren Makus
DATE: 15 January 2004
ACTIVITY NUMBERS: T02BU00170 and T03OT02210

SUMMARY: Engineering Division has reviewed the Grading and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans received on 7 January 2004. Approval is not recommended at this time. The Floodplain Use Permit may not be issued prior to grading permit issuance. The following comments must be addressed:

Grading Plan:
1. As previously commented, revise note 14 to refer to the January 14, 2004 Geotechnical Engineering Report provided by LMT Engineering, Inc.
2. As previously commented, remove notation and delineation of the proposed driveway cut in Greasewood Park, northeast of lot 30 (sheet 2).
3. Provide the Right of Way Improvement Plan # for the public portion of Leutea Drive. Clearly identify the limits of the public and private roadways.
4. As previously commented, the 40' wide riprap apron east of lot 30 should match the material specified on the tentative plat and drainage report (concrete not indicated). Revise the plan view and detail to show riprap in this area.
5. The callout for the spillway in the Common Area 'B' Basin on sheet 3 is not consistent with the detail on Sheet 5. Revise the detail on Sheet 5 to be consistent with the note on sheet 3. Clearly differentiate between the labels of the "Spillway Detail" and the "Spillway on Leutea."
6. Revise the maintenance access ramp detail or the plan view to provide removable bollards to prevent unauthorized vehicular access to the basin.

SWPPP
7. The AzPDES Construction General Permit requires a copy of the general permit be included as part of the SWPPP. The proposed SWPPP will be approved with the condition that the General Permit must be attached to the site copy of the SWPPP.

Please address all of the above comments. Resubmittal shall include revised Grading and Paving Plan, and SWPP Plan. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 791-5550, extension 1161 or lmakus1@ci.tucson.az.us.
