10/04/2002 | RANDY SCHULER | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | PLEASE SEE THE RED LINE COMMENTS FOR ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION. PLEASE RETURN THE RED LINE SET ALONG WITH NEXT SUBMISSION. E1 1. The closet doors impede upon the work clearance in front of the panel required by 99NEC 110-26. 2. Circuit L2-14 should be circuit L2-26 (see panel schedule pg. E3). 3. 3 upstairs fan coil units served by panel L2 have incorrect circuit numbers. Provide the circuit number on the plan. In addition, provide the description and load in the panel for each fan coil. 4. See comment E1 #3 above for the fan coils served by panel L1. E2 1) JB#1 serving CU2-5 and CU1-3 is too small. There are 2 basic solutions. The correct solution should be selected based upon whether the conductors are run through the JB (pull box) or if they are spliced. See 99NEC 370-16 if the conductors are spliced. A minimum box size of 65in3 is required. See 99NEC 370-28(a)(2) if the conductors are pulled through the box . A minimum box size of 9" h X 6" w X required depth to accommodate conduit diameter is required. 2) The JB adjacent to CU2-3 is not sized. It appears the minimum dimensions should be 9.5"h X 9.5" w X rdacd. See comment E2 #1 above. 3) JB#1 serving CU1-4 and CU2-6 must be a minimum of 8"h X 6.5" w X rdacd. 4) JB#4 serving CU2-4 and CU1-2 must be a minimum of 9.5"h X 8" w X rdacd. 5) JB#1 serving CU2-2 must be a minimum of 7" h X 6" w X rdacd or 43in3 . 6) The equipment ground conductor in circuits with #6 copper ungrounded conductors must be increased to a minimum of #8 copper. See 99NEC 250-122. E3 1) The bonding conductor to the H20 pipe must be a minimum of 2/0 copper. See 99NEC 250-104(a)(1) 2) Please provide the service lateral details e.g. conductor size, conductor type, number of conductors, conduit sizes etc. 3) TEP published fault current at the secondary of their transformer is 55.6KA. Fault AF-1 is shown as 10,000kA in the analysis however I believe the value was intended to be 10kA. Please provide a letter from TEP verifying the beginning FC. 4) Please indicate which phases the single-phase service disconnects are connected to. This should be done in order to insure a balanced load on the service as the calculations indicate. |
