| 03/01/2001 | RANDY SCHULER | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | E1 and E6 1) Provide a # 6 equipment ground from both poles C1 and C2 all the way back to the service. In addition the taps from the #6 equipment ground to all the other poles must be a minimum of a #8. See 99NEC 250-122 OK E1 1) Pole B1 lacks the number of conductors required to serve 7 lights. OK 2) Please provide the alpha/numeric designation along with the number of fixtures served adjacent to each pole. This will simplify the plan review, inspection and installation of the project. The number of fixtures was not specified. E6 1) Remove the ground from the service lateral. If left in it will provide a parallel path for the normal current to flow. In addition the utility will not land it in the transformer. The ground is still in the conduit. 2) Both the lighting and power loads in the load calculation appear to be incorrect. Please carefully review all the loads and revise as necessary. The loads are correct if the fixtures are 480v. The voltage should be specified on page A1. The loads indicate 480V fixtures however there is a neutral in each of the branch circuits serving the lights. E7 1) Revise the panel schedule to reflect the fixture VA as opposed to lamp wattage. See 99NEC 220-4(b) OK GENERAL COMMENT 1) Please return the plans I have already reviewed along with your next submission. Please note I cannot begin my second review without the original set for comparison purposes. NEW COMMENTS FOR FEBRUARY 22, 2001 E6 1) The one line service diagram indicates 1.5" conduit, however it is shown as 2" on page E1. E6 2) Provide 10 amp primary fuses on the transformer and 20 amp secondary fuses. See 99NEC 240-3(f), 450-3(b), 384-16. 3) Ground the neutral of the 2-kVA transformer. See 99NEC 250-30(a)(1). E7 1) C1 is served by #8 in the panel schedule and #6 on page E1 and E6. A2, B2, B2, C2 are served by #12 in the panel schedule and #8 for A2, B2, B2, and #6 for C2 on page E1 and E6. |
